The Wisdom Project...

Was was founded in 2024 after receiving approval from the University of British Columbia Behavioural Research Ethics Board (BREB).  As such, all procedures related to the project and treatment of materials adhere to the standards set by the ethics board.  Dr. Sze is the principal investigator.

​The project receives partial funding from the Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute via the Research Challenge grant.

Interviewees are willing participants who desire to tell their story.   Each participant provided written consent for the interview to be audio recorded, and is aware that direct, written excerpts (without any personal identifiers) of interview transcript may be used in presentation of results, journals or book publications; that audio presentations may include broadcast on website, podcast or live presentations; is aware that though the recording remains anonymous, it cannot be ruled out that the participant's voice may be recognized by some members of the audience.  ​​
